Summit + Sip: Finlayson Loop + Rhino Coffee
βCoffee first, then one of the toughest climbs in Greater Victoria. Come earn your view.
βAbout the Trail π²π»
βMount Finlayson's loop option is a real climb and is best completed clockwise if you're hoping for the easiest route β navigating the slick rock going down counter-clockwise, especially in slippery conditions, could be dangerous in places. It can be easy to get lost on the return part of the loop as it isn't very well marked, so downloading the map in advance helps.
βOverall, this is a very nice trail with good views of Mount Baker and Bear Mountain, Greater Victoria, and the Olympic Peninsula in Washington at the summit. Most of the trail is in the shade of the trees, with quite a few good viewpoints and diverse trail types.
