Y'all, we're going back to Brooklyn Kolache. 🤠
Texpats have been showing up here since the early days, back when we came out for a benefit for West, Texas and again for the shop's Kickstarter.
Founder Autumn Stanford brought her home-state kolaches to Bed-Stuy. Soft, slightly sweet dough, with strawberry or poppy seed on the sweet side and ham, egg or jalapeño on the savory side.
It's the closest thing in New York to the Czech Stop in West, the one every one of us made on I-35 between Dallas and Austin.
Bring your appetite and your strongest opinion on whether the sausage ones are kolaches or klobasneks.
It's a short walk from the Bedford-Nostrand G.
