LIST OF PANELISTS:

1) Gordon Xiong

Dr. Gordon Xiong is the Assistant Director of the Singapore Health Technologies Consortium (HealthTEC.SG). He has more than 12 years of experience conducting R&D and managing innovation in health-related fields. In his current role, he oversees the planning and execution of the Consortium’s ecosystem-building initiatives, including industry outreach, facilitating public-private partnerships and community-building events.   During his time as a researcher, he has worked in several disciplines of molecular biology and bioengineering, collaborated with clinicians, and held roles as co-investigator or theme lead of projects. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles/book chapters and holds 3 patent applications. Passionate in contributing to the health and medical technology ecosystem, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Biomedical Engineering Society (Singapore), where he concurrently chairs its Industry Chapter Advisory Board.

2) Michael Ho Chee Keong

Dr. Michael Ho is the Head, Operation at National Health Innovation Singapore. He has over 10 years of experience working with early stage MedTech innovations, guiding many innovations from conceptualisation stage through to commercialisation. He is actively involved in various evaluation committees, and has spearheaded several programs that accelerate HealthTech innovations.

Before joining NHIC, Dr. Ho served as a Scientist at A*STAR, where his research concentrated on MedTech innovation. Collaborating closely with clinical partners, he specialized in the development of miniaturized medical devices.

3) Cairan He

Cairan, the Fund Manager and Director of Investor Relations at VentureBlick, brings a wealth of experience in intellectual property (IP) management, licensing, valuation, venture creation, and investment due diligence to the health tech panel.  

With a remarkable 17-year career in innovation management and venture creation, Cairan served as the Associate Director of IP, Venture Creation, and Investment at the National University of Singapore.  

Managing a portfolio of over 300 inventions and IPs, he orchestrated 50+ licensing agreements valued at tens of millions of USD. Beyond transactions, Cairan actively mentored startup founders, contributing to the successful incorporation and seed investments for over 80 startups.

4) Haley Ong

Haley Ong, a distinguished medtech professional with over 8 years of unwavering expertise in shaping the digital healthcare landscape. Her extensive experience encompasses breast cancer research, telemedicine, medical devices, IoMT, and the intricate realm of the digital ecosystem. Currently serving as the Principal, Digital Ecosystem at Boston Scientific, Haley has earned recognition through prestigious awards such as the APAC HQ Functional Excellence Award, Solution Delivery Excellence Award, and the CEO Winning Spirit Award.

Beyond her corporate accomplishments, Haley's entrepreneurial spirit shines as the founder of Pawtner, a pet tech startup at the forefront of digitizing the pet adoption process. The success of Pawtner has been prominently featured in CNA Women, Singapore Pet Magazine, Vulcan Post, and Mediacorp Channel 8 News, showcasing her ability to innovate not only in MedTech but also in the burgeoning field of PetTech. This dual expertise in MedTech and PetTech marks Haley as a true impact driven leader across industries. Her innovative approach and proven track record make her a valuable asset, contributing significantly to the evolution and optimization of digital ecosystems.
