Entrepreneurship can get pretty isolating.
So we're trying something simple:
Go for a walk with other entrepreneurs.
No presentations.
No name tags.
No awkward networking exercises.
No sitting through someone's sales pitch.
Just a casual Sunday walk along Toronto's waterfront with entrepreneurs, founders and business owners and a chance to meet some interesting people.
📍 Where
Simcoe WaveDeck at Harbourfront
Meet on the waterfront at the Simcoe WaveDeck, just west of Lower Simcoe Street and beside Harbourfront Centre.
Exact meeting pin and photo will be sent to registered attendees.
🕔 When
Sunday · 5:00 PM – 6:15 PM
Please arrive around 4:50–4:55 PM.
We start walking shortly after 5.
🚶 What we'll do
We'll walk along the waterfront for about 75 minutes.
There will be a little help making introductions at the beginning, but after that it's intentionally informal.
Talk about:
what you're building
something you're working through
ideas you've been thinking about
business
life
Toronto
or whatever conversation happens naturally
The point isn't to collect 20 LinkedIn connections.
It's to hopefully meet one or two people you'd actually want to talk to again.
☕ After the walk
We'll finish around Harbourfront.
Anyone who wants to keep talking can grab a coffee, drink or bite afterward.
Completely optional.
Who it's for
Entrepreneurs, founders, business owners and people actively building something.
You do not need to be at a particular business stage.
What matters more is being:
Curious. Friendly. Open to meeting people. And not there just to sell something.
A few simple rules
No hard selling.
Don't treat attendees as a prospect list.
Talk to someone new.
If you already know people, help bring others into the conversation.
Come if you register.
The group is intentionally kept relatively small.
Be useful and curious.
Good conversations work both ways.
Capacity
For the first few walks, we'll keep it to approximately 12–16 people.
If it's full, join the waitlist. We'll be doing these regularly.
Weather
Light rain won't necessarily stop us.
If weather makes the walk unsafe or miserable, we'll post an update through Luma and the TES Social WhatsApp Community before the event.
