Hosted by Excel In Maths Africa, The P.R.I.M.E. Masterclass Series is a practical, beginner-friendly 3-week foundational training led by Mr. Samson Oluwafemi Olagbami (Researcher, ICAMMDA).
3-Week Breakdown
Week 1 (Nov 7): Finding a Researchable Topic — Moving from textbook problems to real-world applied research (Modelling, Statistics/Data, Optimization, & AI).
Week 2 (Nov 14): Reading Maths Papers with Ease — Using Google Scholar/ResearchGate, mastering the "3-Pass Reading Method," and spotting research gaps.
Week 3 (Nov 21): Anatomy of a Paper & Methodologies — Section-by-section walkthrough of an applied paper and choosing the right methodology.
Bonus: Mentored Research Clusters
Active participants who complete the simple weekly tasks will be placed into Mentored Research Groups after Week 3 and guided toward writing and publishing!
