About Event

In a large-scale emergency, such as a major earthquake, it's recommended that families and neighbors be prepared to help each other until emergency personnel arrive. So here's an Idealist Day activity I'm doing for my street, and you can do for your block or building. Invite everyone to add their emergency contact info, emergency-related needs, skills and resources to a shared spreadsheet. I plan to share my street's on a Google drive as well as hard copy. I'm also distributing window signs to alert neighbors and first responders if a home's occupants need HELP or are OK. RSVP and I'll share in my introductory letter and Google docs forms that you're welcome to repurpose for your neighborhood. I will also send a link to where I got my signs.
