Wine Poetic is back for a very special collaboration with C. Cassis, poetic purveyor of blackcurrant (and other) liqueurs and ferments, in Rhinebeck, NY.
𖦹 During this 2ish-hour gathering, we will celebrate the mythos of Beltane in tandem with the life & work of the singular, Bernadette Mayer, a week before the late poet's birthday. C. Cassis founder, Rachael Petach, will also guide us through the surprising history of blackcurrants and how C. Cassis is paving a new lineage for this largely misunderstood and underrated fruit.

What is Wine Poetic?
Wine Poetic is a salon-style experience (part workshop, part symposium) that explores the intersection of poetry, place, and taste—pairing the work of iconic poets & writers with heritage wines, spirits, and other culturally rooted beverages. Each gathering is designed as an intimate, multi-sensory environment for conversation, interpretation, and discovery.
Wine Poetic has been a co-production between GNOSES and The Poetry Society of New York since 2023. The program was co-created by Darby Wagner (GNOSES) and Jackie Braje (PSNY) and is executive produced by GNOSES.
