About Event

Join us at the Bitcoin Office in San Salvador for a special academic lecture as Professor Giovanni Santostasi delivers a 2.5-hour in-depth session on Bitcoin and the Power Law Theory — an exploration at the intersection of physics, mathematics, network science, and monetary economics.

The event will be hosted at the Bitcoin Office with the kind support of Stacy Herbert and Max Keiser, whose ongoing commitment to education and open research continues to position El Salvador as a global center for Bitcoin innovation and scholarship.

Professor Santostasi will be introduced by Luca Esposito and Giacomo Zucco, who will frame the session by connecting Santostasi’s research to broader developments in Bitcoin finance, infrastructure, and academic inquiry.

As an astrophysicist and the originator of the Bitcoin Power Law Theory, Santostasi approaches Bitcoin not as a speculative instrument, but as a complex adaptive system whose long-term behavior can be studied using statistical laws commonly observed in nature. His work applies the concept of power laws, mathematical relationships characterized by scale invariance, to Bitcoin’s price, network growth, and adoption over time.

During the lecture, Santostasi will cover:

  • The fundamentals of power laws

  • Empirical evidence

  • Methodology and assumptions

  • Comparisons with traditional financial and valuation models

  • Implications for long-term forecasting and academic research

The session is designed for students, academic researchers, and university professors seeking a rigorous, data-driven understanding of Bitcoin that goes beyond speculation and ideology. Emphasis will be placed on scientific reasoning, transparent methodology, and critical thinking.

Location: Bitcoin Office, San Salvador
Duration: 2.5 hours
Audience: Students, researchers, professors, and academically inclined professionals

This lecture represents a rare opportunity to engage directly with one of the most influential scientific frameworks applied to Bitcoin’s long-term evolution, in a setting that has become central to Bitcoin’s real-world experimentation and education.

Talks and panels will take place from 14:30 to 19:00, followed by a networking dinner.
