Nerdearla Mexico Vibeathon · $5K Cash + Trips to Spain, Argentina & Chile
A one-day vibeathon co-located with Nerdearla Mexico. A vibeathon is a hackathon where you build with an AI coding agent: you bring the idea, the agent helps you write the code, and by 6 PM you have something that actually works and that you can demo.
In person or online
This page is the registration for the in-person event in Mexico City. Want to build online instead? Register on the WeMakeDevs page, where you can also apply for one of the in-person seats: https://www.wemakedevs.org/hackathons/nerdearla26
When and where
Saturday, November 21, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (CDMX time) at Flexoffices, Londres 61, Piso 14, Col. Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, CDMX. There are only 80 seats in the room, so register early if you want to build in person.
Register for Nerdearla first
To take part in the vibeathon you need to be registered for Nerdearla Mexico. It's free, and you can sign up here: nerdearla.mx
Prizes
There's $5,000 in cash prizes up for grabs, and on top of that the top 3 individuals each win a funded trip to another Nerdearla: 1st place goes to Nerdearla Spain, 2nd to Nerdearla Argentina and 3rd to Nerdearla Chile. There's also a bonus prize if Valkey does real work in your project, like caching, sessions, queues or real-time features.
How the day works
We kick off at 10 AM and you spend the day building with your AI agent. Before the deadline you submit your repo, a short demo video and a line on how you built it. Finalists then demo to the room and the judges pick the winners, looking at whether it works, how good the idea is, how well you used the agent, and how clear your demo is.
Build with Devin
Devin is our main sponsor, and we strongly suggest building with Devin Desktop. It's not mandatory and any tool is fair game, but install it and sign in before you arrive so you can start building right at kickoff.
What to bring
Your laptop, a charger, Devin Desktop installed, and an idea you want to ship.
Sponsored by Devin, with Valkey and CNCF.
