β€‹πŸŒ²πŸƒ Jocelyn Hill Beginner to Intermediate Social Trail Run | 20s & 30s Only!

In your 20s or 30s and looking to meet new people, make friends, and find some trail-running or adventure buddies?

Join us for a fun, beginner-to-intermediate social trail run on the beautiful trails around Jocelyn Hill, with the option to grab drinks and appetizers together afterward!

This isn't a race, a marathon, or a serious training session. It's an opportunity to get outside, get some exercise, enjoy the fresh air, and connect with others who enjoy being active outdoors.

The focus is on exercise, socializing, and having fun β€” not speed! We'll keep the pace relaxed and conversational, with walking breaks as needed, especially on steeper uphill sections.

Coming alone? You're absolutely welcome! We'll start with introductions to help everyone feel comfortable and get to know each other.

β€‹πŸƒ What to Expect

We'll begin with introductions and a chance to get to know each other before heading onto the trails.

This is a beginner-to-intermediate social trail run, designed for people who want to enjoy running outdoors without the pressure of keeping up with a fast-paced or competitive group.

Our approach:

  • Activity: Social trail running with walking breaks.

  • Terrain: Natural trails with hills, roots, rocks, and potentially muddy or slippery sections.

  • Pace: Relaxed and conversational, with an emphasis on keeping the group together.

  • Hills: We'll walk steeper uphill sections as needed and resume jogging when the terrain allows.

  • Experience: You don't need to be an experienced trail runner, but you should have a reasonable level of fitness and be comfortable jogging on uneven, hilly trails.

The goal is to get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and meet new people along the way. We'll take breaks when needed and focus on making the experience enjoyable for everyone.

Think of it as a social workout with new friends, not a race or endurance challenge!

β€‹πŸ» Optional Drinks & Appetizers Afterwards!

Want to keep the conversations going?

After our trail run, we'll have the option to head somewhere nearby for drinks, appetizers, and more socializing!

This is completely optional, but it's a great opportunity to relax, get to know everyone a little better, and make some new connections off the trails.

Food and drinks are at your own expense.

β€‹πŸŽ’ What to Bring & Wear

Required:

  • Trail running shoes or sturdy athletic shoes with good grip β€” trails may be wet, muddy, rocky, or slippery.

  • Comfortable athletic clothing suitable for jogging and walking.

  • Water β€” at least 500 mL.

  • Weather-appropriate layers, including a waterproof or rain jacket.

  • Headlamp with fresh batteries or a full charge β€” essential for navigating trails safely in low-light or dark conditions.

  • Any personal medications you may need, such as an inhaler or EpiPen.

Recommended:

  • Small running vest, waist pack, or lightweight backpack.

  • Light snack or energy bar.

  • Extra warm layer.

  • Fully charged cellphone.

  • Spare socks and dry clothes for afterward.

  • Backup light or spare headlamp batteries.

Please arrive dressed and ready to head onto the trails.

For everyone's safety and comfort, please come prepared with the required gear and clothing suitable for the activity, weather, and trail conditions. If you're missing essential equipment or aren't dressed appropriately for the conditions, we may be unable to include you in the activity, and refunds or credits won't be available.
