About Event

If you've ever wanted to speak with grounded confidence - this is for you.

If you've ever wanted your voice to convey trust, affirm clarity inspire others - this is for you.

Communicating as an effective leader is not a matter of talent. It requires skill, self-awareness, and practice.

What this is Own Your Voice:

  • A theatre-inspired experiential learning journey where you get to observe your communication patterns and the impact they have, in a low-stakes environment

  • A safe space to experiment with other ways of communicating to have the desired impact on others

  • No slides, no frameworks or strategies. Just a space to observe, reflect and experiment

  • Designed to shift something in how you communicate, assert yourself, and show up

What you'll practice:

  • Saying exactly what you mean, without the armour

  • Giving feedback without over-explaining or apologising

  • Holding your ground when the room pushes back

  • Asking for what you deserve, and meaning it

Why theatre-based learning?

  • Lowers the stakes, so real patterns become visible

  • Creates psychological safety to experiment with new behaviours

  • Makes practice feel like play, not performance

  • Builds change in the body, not just the mind

Your facilitator

This workshop is led by Krittika Shastri, founder of Hocus Focus. Krittika holds an MA in Applied Theatre from Goldsmiths University of London and brings over 12 years of experience as a performer, director and applied theatre facilitator across India, Singapore, London and Stockholm.
