Charting the Next Wave

Blue Economy Investment Philippines Showcase

Meet five enterprises advancing toward investment readiness and explore opportunities to finance a more inclusive, resilient Philippine blue economy.

Selected from a pool of 79 applicants, the Blue Economy Investment Philippines (BEIP) cohort has spent months strengthening their businesses, financials, governance, and investment propositions while developing pathways to integrate Nature-based Solutions.

Join founders, investors, funders, and ecosystem partners to hear their progress, explore their financing needs, and connect around opportunities for investment and partnership.

Meet the enterprises

  • Malapascua Scuba Diving Eco-Adventures: What if every dive could contribute to marine protection? This conservation tourism enterprise combines premium dive experiences with citizen-science shark monitoring, creating local jobs and gathering data to help protect the habitats its business depends on.

  • Agro-DigitalPH: A stronger blue economy needs a better route to market. Agro-DigitalPH connects smallholder farmers and fisherfolk to institutional buyers through digital coordination and traceable sourcing, building a business around reliable supply, better producer margins, and more responsible production.

  • Pure Oceans: Plastic waste can become a source of value for the people protecting our seas. Pure Oceans combines community-led plastic recovery with circular product development, creating livelihood opportunities that also support local protectors of marine protected areas.

  • Kaizen AquaVentures: The future of aquaculture starts with the fingerling. Kaizen addresses demand for quality tilapia fingerlings through hatchery innovations that reduce water use and feed waste, while bringing small-scale producers and former out-of-school youth into a more efficient aquaculture economy.

  • FishTech Aquaculture: Can a nursery business help change how an entire bay produces seafood? FishTech supplies milkfish and sea tilapia fry and fingerlings while helping producers transition toward integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA), connecting commercial demand with local livelihoods and the restoration of marine ecosystems like in Maqueda Bay and Samar Sea.

What to expect

  • Enterprise pitches and founder conversations: Hear how each business is evolving, the capital it needs, and the partnerships that can support its next stage.

  • Insights on mobilizing capital: Learn from program and financing partners about how business fundamentals, community inclusion, and Nature-based Solutions can inform investment decisions.

  • Moderated investor dialogue: Discuss opportunities, outstanding questions, and next steps for due diligence and financing.

  • Connections for follow-through: Meet founders and fellow participants to explore potential investments and collaborations.
