CoP PeerUp Series: Getting to Good Enough Impact Measurement
Join us for Episode 13 of the Community of Practice (CoP) PeerUp Series, featuring Segun Fatudimu, Head of Common Foundations at the Common Approach to Impact Measurement.
In this practical and engaging session, nonprofit and social purpose leaders will explore what it takes to meet the minimum standard for “good enough” impact measurement, grounded in the Common Foundations—five essential practices shared across hundreds of tools and frameworks for measuring social impact.
Participants will be introduced to the five foundational practices that make up the “how” of impact measurement. These practices form a flexible, community-driven minimum standard that most organizations can align with using their existing capacities, tools, and processes. If all five practices are in place, an organization’s impact measurement approach is considered “good enough.”
Participants will also complete a guided self-assessment to reflect on their current measurement practices, identify where they are already meeting the standard, and explore opportunities to strengthen their approach. The Common Foundations are intentionally designed to be accessible and widely applicable across social purpose organizations, offering clarity without prescribing a rigid method.
The Community of Practice (CoP) is delivered through a collaboration between the Centre for Social Enterprise at Memorial University and the Social Innovation Lab at the Community Sector Council of Newfoundland and Labrador (CSCNL).
