Synopsis

This curated Tokyo Innovation Tour offers a structured, end-to-end view of Japan’s financial and digital commerce ecosystem — from policy foundations to real-world deployment. The programme begins with regulatory and international financial centre insights at FinCity.Tokyo, providing context on Japan’s positioning as a global financial hub and its evolving fintech landscape.

Participants will then experience digital commerce in action through a guided immersion in Asakusa, observing SME digitisation and cross-border QR payment adoption, before concluding at the Bank of Japan Currency Museum — reflecting on the evolution of money, monetary stability, and the future of currency in a digital era.
