JULY 21ST: E2E AMBASSADORS CLUB WITH MARISA POSTER, CO-FOUNDER OF PERFECTTED
Matcha is having a moment. Meet the founder who started it.
Walk into almost any café in Britain right now and you'll spot a green drink that wasn't there three years ago. That's not an accident. One brand drove roughly three-quarters of the entire UK matcha category's growth last year, and on Amazon people now search its name more often than they search "energy drinks."
That brand is PerfectTed, and its co-founder Marisa Poster is joining us for an evening with the E2E Ambassadors Club.
The numbers tell the story better than we can. Over £1 million in sales a month. A 532% two-year growth rate. Shelves in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Holland & Barrett, plus more than 30,000 stores in over 50 countries. A 2025 round led by Felix Capital, the investors behind Oatly and Peloton, at a valuation near £140 million. Forbes 30 Under 30. And yes, the Dragons' Den pitch that landed Steven Bartlett and became one of the show's biggest success stories.
But for Marisa, it started with a problem. Diagnosed with ADHD at 16, she found caffeine made things worse and matcha gave her energy without the crash. When she couldn't find a decent version in London, she built the brand she wished existed.
Over drinks and canapés, Marisa will get into the parts that don't fit in a headline. How you build a category instead of fighting for scraps in someone else's. How a brand grows when there's no marketing budget to speak of. How you win over supermarket buyers, and how you decide which investor to say yes to. The honest version, founder to founders.
This is an E2E Ambassadors Club evening, which means the room matters as much as the speaker. Expect some of the fastest growing founders, most established investors and business leaders from our community of 24,000 entrepreneurs.
