​About the speaker
I. A. S. Balamurugan co-founded Anicut Capital in Chennai in 2015. The firm manages approximately US$500 million across seven funds in private credit and equity, and has backed 140 companies from seed stage through to late-stage growth.

​Its portfolio includes Milky Mist, the Indian value-added dairy company, which Anicut backed in 2020. Milky Mist completed an IPO of approximately US$170 million in August 2026 and now has a market capitalisation of approximately US$2.8 billion.
