Curious about home exchange – or already a member and want to meet others in Barcelona?
Join us for a relaxed HomeExchange Days coffee meetup at Kafenion Barcelona (Carrer de Pau Claris, 128) to talk about house swapping, slow travel and local tips.
With Barcelona planning to phase out tourist apartments by 2028, many travelers and hosts are looking at home exchange as a more community‑minded way to stay in the city.
I’ll share my experience living between Finland, Italy and other parts of Europe, and how I use HomeExchange for long journeys (including a cycling project from Finland to Argentina!). There will be plenty of time for questions – from “how do GuestPoints work?” to “how do I make my first swap happen?”.
This meetup is for:
– people completely new to HomeExchange who want to understand how it works
– current members who want to exchange tips, stories and ideas for future swaps
– travel‑curious Barcelonins and expats who like sustainable, people‑to‑people travel
We’ll be a small group (maximum 15 people) so everyone has time to talk. The event is free; just order a drink or snack at the café.
Language: mainly English (simple Spanish/Italian if needed).
