International Generalist Day 2026 🌍

Imagine you could meet new friends who understood your squiggly background? Well, now you can!

Join Tanisha and Pratik in Mumbai for International Generalist Day - a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide on September 16th, 2026.

Tanisha and Pratik are hosting dinner and drinks for multi-passionate humans and generalists to discover, connect and network with one another in the city of dreams - Mumbai.

What is a generalist?

Professionals who apply their skills across multiple domains, connect disparate ideas, or serve as "translators" between different teams and disciplines. If you've ever felt your career doesn't fit in a single box, this celebration is for you.

What to expect:

• Connect with fellow generalists in your city

• Celebrate the power of diverse skillsets and squiggly careers

• Be part of a global movement happening the same day worldwide

About your host

Tanisha is a counsellor and facilitator with a passion for writing, mythology, and community.

"To me, being a generalist means your career isn't defined by narrow boxes, but it's fluid... Not a trap, but a nest to nurture your creativity and passion." - Tanisha

Pratik is a technology and transformation leader, and generalist with 16+ years of experience across technology, product, strategy, business, and people. His career has taken him from building his own venture to leading digital transformation, often taking on problems without obvious answers. He believes the strength of a generalist lies not in knowing everything, but in connecting dots across different worlds, bringing people and ideas together, and creating something new. For him, that's the real superpower of being a generalist.

One tiny venue note: We’re gathering at a café, so if you feel like grabbing a drink, snack or meal while we chat, you’re welcome to order directly from the café. Everyone takes care of their own food and drinks. The conversations are on us. 😊

This meetup is run by Tanisha and Pratik and organised by Generalist World - the community where generalists belong. You'll find everything you need to grow in your career - support, opportunity, lots of learning and great new connections.

Please note, you do not need to be a member of GW to join a meetup, everyone is welcome
