what would a PM do? product problems solved in an afternoon.

here's the thing. in 2026 anyone can build almost anything. you type a sentence and an AI ships a whole feature for you. building got easy, honestly it got easy for everyone.

so the real question isn't "can you build it" anymore. it's "do you even know what's worth building in the first place." that's the actual job of a product manager, and that's exactly what this afternoon is about.

this is a PM-driven sprint and buildathon. no code required, no engineering degree needed. you bring the thinking, the product sense, the taste for what actually matters. that's the whole game.

what's happening

Flo101 is a system of AI agents that orchestrates your skilling path. Tell it what you want to build, and it sequences what to study, practice, and ship.

They're handing some of their product problems straight to us. you pick one that pulls you in, and then you go deep on it for the afternoon.

and here's the part that makes it a buildathon and not just a discussion. you don't only talk about a fix, you actually build it. a prototype, a design, a clickable mockup, a flow, whatever makes your idea feel real to someone who's seeing it for the first time. use any AI tools you like, that's the point of doing this in 2026.

at the end you present everything to a panel. and yeah, they're going to poke holes and ask the hard questions, so come ready to defend the calls you made.

what you'll actually do in the sprint

you'll pick a real flo101 problem and get properly into the head of the user who's stuck, because everything good starts there.

then you'll figure out the obvious fix, the one everyone jumps to first, and more importantly you'll figure out why that obvious fix quietly falls apart. this part right here is the whole game, and it's what separates someone who just makes a screen from someone thinking like a real PM.

from there you'll design the smarter way in, the fix that actually holds up, and then you'll build it. you'll take the single most important moment of your idea and make it real, not just a line on a slide but something people can actually see and feel.

what you present at the end

you'll get 3 minutes, and you'll walk the judges through four things in this order.

first, the problem. who's the user and what's the painful moment they're stuck in. second, the trap. the obvious fix everyone reaches for, and why it fails. third, your fix. shown, not just told, and this is where your prototype does the talking. and fourth, the proof. how you'd actually know it worked, plus one honest risk where it might break.

the deal

come with a team of 2, 3, or 4. or just show up solo and we'll squad you up with the right people on the day. whatever works for you.
