Wayve AI Open Day - Tokyo, Japan
Wayve is pioneering AV2.0 — a new paradigm in self-driving that learns to drive end-to-end using machine learning. With new offices in central Tokyo and a Testing and Development Center in Yokohama, our AI Driver took to Japan’s roads last year, driving safely in a brand-new country within days, without maps or re-engineering.
This milestone demonstrates what sets AV2.0 apart: the ability to scale rapidly to new environments with unprecedented efficiency. Backed by $1.5 billion in recent funding, we’re accelerating our mission to bring embodied intelligence to real-world mobility.
We’re continuing to deepen our partnership with Nissan as we build toward the first generation of production robo-taxis, and have announced plans to launch with Uber in Tokyo in 2026, a major step toward deploying autonomous driving at global scale.
At this event, hear lightning talks from Wayve’s leadership and Application Engineering team who are turning cutting-edge R&D into production-ready autonomy. Learn how we integrate across OEM platforms, scale systems safely, and bring next-generation self-driving technology to market faster than ever before.
Who Should Attend
This event is for embedded engineers and machine learning engineers working on software integration or model development in robotics or automotive OEM environments.
You’ll benefit most if you:
Build low-level systems in C++ and Linux
Develop or integrate middleware, drivers, or real-time software
Work on computer vision or ML models for embodied AI, robotics, or LLM-enabled systems
Own the challenge of turning advanced R&D into production-ready deployments
If you operate close to the hardware–software boundary and ship complex systems into real-world platforms, this event is for you.
Please note: this is a technical event intended specifically for engineers actively working in robotics.
Join us for drinks, networking, and inspiration at our Mountain View office — and be part of the conversation shaping the future of AI-driven mobility.
