Assertive Communication for Women
A 2-hour experiential workshop on assertive communication for women.
You already speak up. But do people really listen?
You know what you want to say. You express your opinion. You say no. You set boundaries. You speak up when something matters to you.
And yet, sometimes your message doesn't seem to land.
People interrupt you. They keep negotiating after you've said no. They don't take your boundary seriously. Your contribution in a meeting gets less attention than it deserves.
Maybe the problem isn't what you're saying. Maybe it's how you're saying it.
Your words are only part of the message. You can choose perfectly assertive words and still communicate hesitation.
Sometimes these signals reflect an uncertainty you still feel inside. But sometimes something else is happening:
You've changed. Your communication habits haven't caught up yet. Other people respond to the whole message, not just to your words.
In this workshop, we'll work on both:
We'll briefly look inward: what happens inside you when you need to speak up? What helps you connect with what you actually think, want or need — and stand behind it?
Then we'll explore and practise the different components of nonverbal communication — including tone, pitch, volume, pace, posture and eye contact — and how to express an opinion with conviction, say no clearly and set boundaries without apologising.
This is a hands-on workshop where you'll practise, hear and feel the difference.
You don't need to become louder, tougher or less kind. You don't need a different personality. You need your words, your voice and your body to start saying the same thing.
Two hours. A lot to notice.
Two hours won't transform every belief or pattern you've developed over a lifetime.
But it can help you notice the habits that weaken your message — and start changing them.
Sometimes a surprisingly small change makes a very noticeable difference.
