EcoTransform 2026

​EcoTransform is a 48-hour hackathon at the University of Waterloo where teams of coders, ecologists, and designers build AI tools for biodiversity restoration and conservation. Participants tackle a connected pipeline of challenges — from extracting structured knowledge out of scientific literature, to building evidence-backed agents, to designing interfaces that put that evidence in the hands of practitioners in the field.
