About Event

Most creatives don't lack vision. They lack validation.

Find the Frequency is a 2-hour conversation designed for innovative entrepreneurs who are ready to stop operating on instinct alone and start building ventures the market can actually sustain.

We're bringing together two of the most compelling voices at the intersection of culture, business, and community- Joshua Gunn, Director of Workforce & Economic Development for the City of Durham and Chaucer Barnes, CMO of Translation & United Masters, for an honest, grounded conversation about what it really takes to move from creative to founder.

Joshua leads economic and workforce development for the City of Durham. He's also a performing artist, co-founder of Black August in the Park and the Black Farmers Market, and has advised more than 50 organizations on growth strategy. He knows what it looks like when creative vision meets public impact and when it doesn't.

Chaucer is the Chief Marketing Officer of UnitedMasters, where he's spent his career building at the intersection of music, brand, and culture. As a media planner, creative director, partnership architect, and independent musician, he's helped rewrite how creators and brands earn influence in the modern economy.

Together, they'll pull back the curtain on building, validating, and scaling. Storytelling through the lens of people who've lived it on both sides of the table.

This is not a panel. It's a conversation. And it's for Durham.

Open to the Durham entrepreneurial community. Seating is limited.
