Why do I do these?

I wanted to share my core motivation behind these sessions. I believe it matters. And I believe it is very unique.

I do everything I do because I want to help great people get ahead and learn the rarest and most potent skills to do so.

Your life is on a branch of the multiverse. I want your life (and career) to be on the highest branch possible, filled with more opportunities, success, and quality of life.

How to Make Decisions That Age Well

"It's a two-way door." "Move fast and break things." "We can always change our minds later."

In theory, sure. In reality, two-way doors jam shut. People don't change their minds. And the consequences land on customers, employees, shareholders, and your own credibility.

Most people decide the normal way. The realist makes the practical call for today. The pessimist assumes tomorrow will look like today. The optimist plans around the best case going right. Then, when it goes wrong, they say they did the best they could with the information they had.

But did they?

The future is unknown. But it isn't totally unknown. Great deciders see several possible futures clearly enough to compare them, judge how likely each one really is, and change today's decision to steer toward the best one.

This session is a workshop, not a lecture. We'll go deep on how to do this, and run it live on real decisions, including yours.

What you'll learn

  • Why "we can always change it later" fails in practice, and how to spot the doors that will jam

  • How to lay out the 2–4 futures any important decision can lead to

  • How to describe each future vividly enough to actually evaluate it, including side effects and precedent

  • How to honestly estimate how likely each future is, and what moves those odds most

  • What to change about your decision or plan when your preferred future isn't the likely one

  • How to know when your predictions are good enough to use as a decision-making tool

The Structure

These 90-minute Friday sessions are a blend of original material, discussion, Q&A, and take-home materials. This one leans toward live examples, so bring a decision you're facing that you'd like to work through.

Afterwards, you'll receive:

  • The recording of the session

  • A PDF of the presentation and the futures framework

  • A discount for 1:1 coaching
