Anthony Ant Musical Memorial

​A musical memorial to our own Anthony Ant, the musical legend from Oakland who brought together musicians from all over the Bay Area into a thriving community and scene that lives on in his spirit.

We hope you can join us for this celebration of Ant's musical life. It is open to the community and there is no charge to attend. Please share this event with anyone who may be interested.

We will be closing off Prince St. in front of the plough and featuring performances by long time friends of Ant of his favorite tunes on an outdoor stage.

Inside the Plough, we will be dedicating a permanent display on the stage wall featuring a poster of Ant and his actual trumpet mounted on the wall, as well as a mural.

This event is hosted by Anthony's mom, Tina Anderson, and by Shahin Naima and the Starry Plough Pub, where Ant's Glory Jam soars on. Many of Ant's friends are volunteering to make the event run smoothly and costs of the event are being covered by past community contributions.
