​The Backstory

​When they met, Allison Fleece and Danielle Thornton were both career women in NYC. They were overworked and looking for something but they didn’t know what that something was. They bonded while hiking Mount Kilimanjaro together with a group of all women in 2013. This adventure ignited something within them - they realized it was so much more than a hike.

After their first summit, they vowed to share the transformational power of adventure that they had just experienced with as many others as possible, and their company WHOA travel was born!

Today, they are curating adventures on all 7 continents and have shared their style of life-changing adventures with 3,000+ people and partnered with over 267 local women and guides in the regions that they travel to bring their specially curated adventures to life.
