To make sure you get the most value from the program, we recommend that you would have met the following prerequisites:
• Excel Proficiency – You should be comfortable working with data in Excel (e.g., using tables, filters, pivot tables, formulas).
• Data Experience – You should currently work with or manage data in your role.
• Files Ready – Download the exercise files (we will provide these ahead of the workshop) so you are ready to start learning straight away.
• Software Installed – Please ensure the Power BI Desktop App is downloaded and installed on your device before the workshop.
This is different from the Browser/Teams version we use to view reports. It is a free program, available from the Microsoft store or your staff portal, that must be installed on your computer. As this may require permission and/or support from UoM IT department, it is recommend installing at least a week before the training session, so you have time to get the necessary approvals.
