Startups Cooperative Credit Union Live Q&A
What's it about A live conversation with the team behind Startups Cooperative Credit Union (StartCCU), a licensed financial cooperative in Techiman, Ghana, joined by [SPEAKER NAME] from impact intermediary FARIAD. LendForGood Co-Founder Cameron Neil hosts.
StartCCU was created by Agrico Hub to close the financing gap facing rural small businesses in Ghana. Banks turn away most of these businesses, and women and young people are hit hardest. StartCCU pairs affordable, flexible credit with hands-on business support through a cooperative model. Since 2023 it has grown from 100 members to nearly 2,000 small businesses, 58% led by women and 70% by people under 35.
In the session, the team will talk about how the cooperative model works on the ground, who they're reaching and what's changed for their members, and what's next as they grow. Then it's over to you for questions.
StartCCU's campaign is open on LendForGood from Thursday 1 October: USD 50,000 at 10% per annum over 12 months.
