An Interactive Guided Experience

What would change if rest stopped being your reward and became part of the design?

You finally have a free evening. Somehow, you’re still thinking about what you could be getting done.

We’ve been taught to treat rest as something we deserve after enough effort. But when there’s always another goal to reach, the finish line keeps moving. Even time off can become something to use wisely, optimize, or justify.

What if rest wasn’t something you had to earn?

Join Kristina M. Smith, founder of Open Impossible Doors and creator of Radical Rest™, for an intimate, guided experience exploring the complicated relationship between rest, ambition, and self-worth.

Through interactive exercises, personal reflection, and shared conversation, we’ll examine the expectations shaping how we spend our time. Why does being busy feel reassuring? When did exhaustion become evidence that we’re doing enough? And what might we choose differently if every hour didn’t need to prove its value?

Expect space to hear yourself think, exchange perspectives with interesting people, and consider what making room for rest could look like within the life you actually have.

What you’ll walk away with:

  • A clearer understanding of the beliefs that make rest feel uncomfortable or unearned.

  • Insight into where your time reflects what you want, and where it reflects pressure to keep doing.

  • A more personal sense of what restorative time looks like for you, beyond simply being off the clock.

  • One realistic change to try in your week, grounded in your own priorities and responsibilities.

About the Facilitator

Kristina M. Smith spent 15 years helping large corporate organizations navigate change and make it work in practice. Her background in learning design and change strategy informs how she turns reflection into something people can use beyond the room.

She founded Open Impossible Doors to explore the relationship between ambition, freedom, and intentional living. Radical Rest™ grew from that work and her own experience questioning what success should make possible. Her approach brings thoughtful questions, practical exploration, and people’s lived experiences into the same conversation.

Includes an introduction to Radical Rest™, ahead of the full course launching in 2027.
