About Event

Imagine stepping off the busy street and leaving the noise entirely behind. For one Saturday afternoon, the rush of the world fades, replaced by the warmth of an intimate Bukit Timah shophouse, the scent of fresh coffee and matcha, and the quiet magic of a room full of people you haven’t met yet.

Life moves fast, leaving little room for tactile creation and unhurried connection. Off Syllabus @ Table 387 is a return to what humans have always done best: making things with our hands, sharing a table, and finding a sense of belonging.

For our debut session, we’re keeping it ancient:

  • The Craft: Turn flour, water, salt, and wild yeast into blistered, golden baguettes from scratch. No experience needed—just clean hands and an open mind.

  • The Fuel: Chilled matcha, cold brew, good music, and effortless conversation.

  • The Feast: Breaking hot, crackling bread together around a communal table with artisan butter and seasonal bites.

The Flow (3.5 Hours)

  • The Welcome Pour: Kick off your shoes, grab an apron, and settle in with a chilled matcha cloud or cold brew tonic.

  • The Craft: Master the rhythm of baguettes—forget perfection, it's all about good vibes and getting your hands dusty.

  • The Living Room Pause: Step away from the counters for pour-overs, great music, and interactive group connections.

  • The Feast: Experience the "singing crust" ritual as hot loaves emerge from the oven, followed by tearing bread together with cultured butter and seasonal pairings.

What’s Included

  • Hands-on Masterclass: Full guidance on mixing, shaping, scoring, and steam-baking.

  • Specialty Drink Bar: Unlimited cold-whisked matcha, cold brew, and light bites flowing all afternoon.

  • The Bread Board: Fresh hot baguettes paired with artisan butter, dips, and seasonal accompaniments.

The Essentials

  • Capacity: Strictly capped at 20 guests to keep the space intimate and cozy.

  • Where: Table 387 (Bukit Timah, Singapore). Full arrival details sent upon RSVP.

  • Dress Code: Casual clothes you don't mind getting a dusting of flour on. (Shoes off at the door!)

Come alone, bring a friend—we don't really care. At the end of the day, we all break bread together.
