WEBINAR 3: Conducting safeguarding risk assessments and internal audits in Barnahus
Effective safeguarding requires organisations to proactively identify risks and regularly review the effectiveness of their safeguarding systems.
This interactive webinar will introduce Barnahus Network members to practical approaches for conducting safeguarding risk assessments as part of a continuous improvement process.
Participants will explore the purpose and scope of safeguarding risk assessments, review common safeguarding risks that may arise within Barnahus, share experience, and learn the basic steps involved in assessing and managing those risks.
Participants will examine how findings can be used to improve policies, Standing Operational Procedures (SOPs), and day-to-day practice.
The webinar will combine practical examples, discussion, and opportunities for participants to reflect on safeguarding risks and quality assurance processes within their own contexts.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
Understand the purpose and scope of safeguarding risk assessments within the Barnahus model;
Identify common safeguarding risks that may increase possibility of harm;
Apply the basic steps of a safeguarding risk assessment process;
Use simple tools and templates to identify, assess, and manage safeguarding risks.
