Texpats Happy Hour at Wild Horses
Y'all, there's a new saloon on the Bowery, and it's basically ours.
From the team behind Niagara and the creator of Lucinda's comes Wild Horses, a cosmic country and western bar tracing the highways that carried country music out of the South and westward:
the Gold Rush
the Dust Bowl
Bakersfield
the Outlaw movement
and the moment Gram Parsons dragged country into the LA counterculture
Think mid-century decor, dark wood paneling, velvet paintings, and vintage western memorabilia.
It's less a themed bar and more a relic that survived.
There's live music most nights, chili inspired by Barney's Beanery, and a southern kitchen for anyone who needs a bite between rounds.
We'll grab hightops, order a round, and see if the Bowery can keep up with Texas standards.
