About Event

Ready to learn mahjong? This is your place to start. 🀄️

Join Holland House Mahjong for a small-group introduction to American Mahjong designed especially for brand-new players. No experience is needed — we’ll start at the very beginning and walk through it together.

During our time together, you’ll learn the tiles, how to read the National Mah Jongg League card, the Charleston, the basic rules of play, and how to begin building a hand. Then we’ll put it all together and actually play!

Your registration includes:

Two hours of small-group instruction
Use of all mahjong tiles and equipment during the lesson
Your own 2026 National Mah Jongg League card to keep
Guided play and plenty of time for questions
