Savor Society — The First Tasting

​Savor Society is an Italian-American catering business — boards, platters, sandwich trays, skewers and canapés for rooms full of people, in Manhattan, south of 96th Street. On 23 September we are putting the whole range on one table for twenty-five people.

​The evening — Four bites in the first course, three sandwich builds in the second, and a chocolate and berries dessert board to finish. You will taste what you would actually be ordering — not a sample menu, the menu. Come hungry, bring your appetite for opinions, and tell us which board you would put on your own table.

​The space — 14 West Loft, the whole top floor of 14 W 23rd Street. One long white table runs down the room under the skylights with a wall of framed prints beside it, and that table is where the spread goes. The lounge is a step away. So is the terrace, six floors up, looking at the Met Life clock tower. The food stays inside; you do not have to.

​What it costs — A seat is $65, and that is the whole of it: every bite, all three sandwich builds, the dessert board, and an open bar.

​The fine print — 21+. Open bar all night. Twenty-five seats, and registration closes there.
