​Join TNT for a fireside chat with Tom Leighton, co-founder and CEO of Akamai Technologies – the internet infrastructure giant that powers and protects the world's largest online experiences.

​Akamai operates one of the world's most distributed computing platforms, delivering and securing content for some of the biggest companies on the internet. With over $4.2 billion in annual revenue and more than 10,000 employees, Akamai has evolved from pioneering content delivery into a major force in cybersecurity and cloud computing.

​Tom co-founded Akamai in 1998 while serving as a professor of applied mathematics at MIT, where he headed the Algorithms Group at the Laboratory for Computer Science. A Princeton graduate (summa cum laude, BSE in EE/CS) and MIT PhD in Applied Mathematics, he served as Akamai's Chief Scientist before becoming CEO in 2013 – tripling the company's revenue and growing its security business from $25 million to over $2.2 billion.
