What We’ll Explore

  • Practice “touch and go” — using the breath as the basic anchor of Shamatha, gently touching our experience and letting go, moment by moment.

  • Recognize and work with obstacles to Shamatha- learning practical ways to relate to distraction, agitation, dullness, and other challenges that arise in meditation.

  • The Four Foundations of Mindfulness Mindfulness of the body Mindfulness of feelings Mindfulness of mind Mindfulness of phenomena

Instructor: Xuan Wang

With over a decade of dedicated meditation and Dharma practice, Xuan Wang has completed multiple intensive retreats. At Naropa University, founded by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Xuan received comprehensive training in Buddhist philosophy and meditation under the direct guidance of Rinpoche’s senior disciples.

Currently advancing these studies at the Nitartha Institute, Xuan maintains a steady personal practice in the Mahamudra tradition. Rooted in this authentic lineage, Xuan has a unique gift for bringing profound meditative wisdom into everyday life, gently guiding practitioners to rest in nowness with simplicity and openness.
