About Event

Divorce isn’t just a legal process — it’s a major life transition that affects your finances, mental health, identity, and family structure all at once. If you’re considering separation, actively preparing for divorce, navigating high-conflict dynamics, or stepping into single motherhood and custody negotiations, this workshop is designed to help you feel more grounded, informed, and resourced.

In this session, Thao Truong will walk through the practical financial steps many people wish they had understood earlier—what to gather, what to document, what to watch for, and how to protect yourself as you plan for independence. Michelle Kuo will guide the emotional and psychological preparation, including how to regulate through stress, reduce overwhelm, and make decisions from clarity (not fear), especially when conflict or custody is involved.

You’ll leave with:

  • A clearer picture of what to prepare financially before and during a divorce

  • A checklist of documents, accounts, and money conversations to prioritize

  • Emotional tools to manage anxiety, guilt, or second-guessing during the process

  • Guidance for navigating custody/co-parenting stress with more stability

  • A “next steps” plan you can personalize based on where you are in the journey

This is a supportive, practical workshop for women who want to prepare wisely, whether you’re still deciding, already in the process, or rebuilding after.
