About the Speakers

Aveline San, Chief Executive Officer and Banking Head, Citi Hong Kong

Aveline San was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Citi Hong Kong in 2022. She became Hong Kong CEO and Head of Banking in 2023.  Aveline also serves as Board Director and Chairman of Citibank (China) Co., Ltd.

Aveline began her career as a banking and capital markets lawyer after qualifying as a solicitor and barrister in Australia in 1997.  She joined Citi in April 2019 as Regional Chief Compliance Officer for Asia Pacific (APAC).  Prior to Citi, she spent 14 years with UBS in various senior management positions, including APAC Group Regional Head of Compliance & Operational Risk Control, General Counsel of Wealth Management for North Asia, and Supervisor of the Board of UBS’ China banking entity.

Aveline is passionate about promoting industry collaboration on innovation and social impact initiatives.  She is also actively involved in policy and regulatory developments impacting the financial industry.  She currently serves on the board of various Citi entities in Hong Kong, FinTech Association of Hong Kong, The Women’s Foundation, the Community Chest Hong Kong and the Financial Services Development Council; the Vice-Chairman of the Financial and Treasury Services Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce; and Vice-President of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and member of council of Treasury Markets Association and Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Association of Banks. Aveline was conferred as an Honorary Certified Banker by the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers in 2024.

Christine Ip, Vice Chairman, Greater China, UOB

Mrs Christine Ip is Vice Chairman of Greater China, UOB. She currently oversees the Bank’s business in Greater China covering markets in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She is also a Non-Executive Director of UOB China.

Christine joined UOB in 2011 as a Managing Director responsible for developing the Bank’s Greater China strategy. In 2012, she was appointed CEO of UOB Hong Kong. In 2016, she took on an expanded role as CEO of Greater China. In October 2023, Christine assumed the role of Head of Group Strategic Communications and Brand of UOB.

Christine is a seasoned banker with more than 30 years of experience in both consumer and wholesale banking, with significant experience in Greater China. Prior to joining UOB, she held a range of local and overseas positions with international banks spearheading product and sales management, customer segment management and risk management in Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore, Canada and the United States.

Christine’s outstanding leadership and business strategy have brought her and the banks accolades and recognitions including The Best Australia Business Award in China presented by Australia Chamber of Commerce, as well as The Best Retail Bank in Hong Kong and The Best Foreign Retail Bank in China awards. She was named as The Best International Retail Banker at the Asia Retail Congress in 2008 and one of the Top 100 Greater China Senior Women Executives by the All-China Women’s Federation in 2012.

Christine is also a passionate art advocator. Under her leadership, UOB Hong Kong launched the UOB Art Academy to promote education and appreciation of art to the community in Hong Kong. She is a council member of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts appointed by the Home Affairs Bureau to promote arts and cultural education in Hong Kong.  She sits on the Board of Governors of The Hong Kong Philharmonic Society Ltd, Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Board of M+ Museum.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She was awarded Chapter Honoree Beta Gamma Sigma HKUST Chapter in recognition of her contribution and achievements in 2018. She is an Alumni Advisory member of the HKUST Business School.

Dawn Chan, CEO & Founder, Sow Fertility

Dawn Chan brings over 12 years of experience in management consulting from McKinsey & Company and asset management from Two Sigma. After experiencing the challenges of fertility treatments first hand, she founded Sow Fertility in 2023 and has devoted her time advocating for improved reproductive healthcare access and options. Sow Fertility is an integrated family building and reproductive health platform offering resources and services to improve experiences and outcomes of fertility and maternity journeys. Their mission is to promote fertility and family-friendly workplaces by providing personalised support that guide members to experts and holistic care most relevant to them. Dawn has been featured in major Hong Kong and regional media outlets, including TVB, JESSICA magazine, Tatler Asia, and various interviews discussing fertility preservation and women empowerment.

Mandy Pao, Chief Operations Officer, ATLAS Chiropractic

Mandy Pao is an award-winning entrepreneur recognized as the "Woman of Wellness." As COO of ATLAS Chiropractic, she leads a premier chiropractic studio in Hong Kong. She is a columnist for JESSICA Magazine and host of the Power Break Wellbeing Video Podcast, dedicated to promoting holistic health and empowerment via holistic chiropractic.

Sin Ting So, Chief Client Officer, Endowus

So Sin Ting is Founding Partner and Chief Client Officer at Endowus.

Sin Ting brings close to 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry at leading banks across Hong Kong and Singapore, including Morgan Stanley and Nomura. Her goal is to make the best of investing accessible to everyone, and to bring best-in-class investment products and solutions to retail and accredited investors at scale through Endowus. In her current role, she leverages her extensive wealth management experience to deliver a client-first hybrid investing experience through an intuitive digital platform and  efficient, multi-channel advisory support.

Through Endowus, she hopes to spread financial literacy and enable investors to make informed decisions about their own financial future.

She graduated from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, with a joint degree at the College of Arts & Sciences and Wharton School.

Steffanie Yuen, Managing Director, Head of Hong Kong, Endowus

Steffanie Yuen is the Managing Director and Head of Hong Kong at Endowus.

Before joining Endowus, Steffanie was Managing Director at Value Partners. Prior to Value Partners, she was the Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Director at Alibaba's fintech affiliate Ant Group, where she was responsible for driving strategic collaborations and partnerships with international financial institutions and Ant's overseas e-wallet partners, which together serve over 1.2 billion annual active users globally.

Steffanie started her career in the investment banking divisions of Barclays and Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong and holds a BS in Finance and Accounting degree from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

She was selected into the Financial Leaders Programme in 2023, organised by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and is currently a Board Director of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong.
