holika dahan (the bonfire of holika) 🔥
chotti holi (small holi)
what is holi? 🌈
holi is a major hindu festival that celebrates the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. it marks a seasonal reset, longer days, new energy, and a chance to let go of what felt heavy.
traditionally, the night before main holi is holika dahan, where a bonfire is lit to symbolize burning negativity. the next day is all about colours, music, laughter, and community.
over time, holi has become a celebration of joy, friendship, forgiveness, and starting fresh.
basically, we light a bonfire, hang out around it, throw popcorn in the fire and symbolically burn the bad vibes. it comes from a hindu story about good winning over evil, but honestly, think of it as a very dramatic reset button.
bring whatever you want to “let go of” this year. bad habits, bad decisions, bad situationships. we won’t ask questions.
we’ll light the fire, laugh, chat, maybe say a short prayer, and enjoy the chaos responsibly.
come for the vibes. stay for the fire.
