Baltic Future of Work Summit – Shaping the Future of Platform Work in Latvia and Beyond

​On 28 May 2025, Free Trade Europa and Abillio are hosting a high-level, invitation-only summit in Riga to explore how the EU Platform Work Directive will shape the future of work in the Baltics.

​As EU member states begin implementing the Directive, this event brings together key voices — including freelancers, platform companies, policymakers, legal experts, and trade unions — for a curated discussion on its implications.

​Topics include worker classification, algorithmic management, and the importance of flexibility in a rapidly evolving digital labour market. The summit aims to provide early input into national legislation and showcase best practices from across Europe.
