Facilitation Playground: Handslide โ Presentations Go Unplugged
โ๐จ Playground: Practice facilitation, active learning, and workshop design. Host a session, try new methods, and get community feedback. Courage over perfection! โจ
โParticipation: Highly interactive, cameras on, breakouts, whiteboards.
โWhat if you built your next presentation entirely by hand? โ
โHandslide is a method for designing and delivering fully analog slide decks you can share live, even in online calls.
โNo PowerPoint, no Canva, no AI. Just paper, markers, and your hands. ๐๐๏ธ๐
โTogether we'll look at what changes when you remove the digital layer: how you design the presentation, how you deliver it, and how it lands on the people listening. And we'll do it by making things with our hands, in real time.
โThis is not a sketchnoting session, and you don't need to know how to draw: you just need paper, a pen, and some curiosity. ๐คธโโ๏ธ
โIt's a Playground, so expect a work in progress, and bring your feedback ๐
โMaterials to have at hand:
โEssential:
โ6-8 sheets of white A4 paper
โA pen or a marker
โScissors (or just your hands โ tearing works perfectly)
โNice to have:
โA thicker marker, alongside a thin pen/marker
โPost-its
โA glue stick
โAn old magazine or newspaper you can cut up
โHere's what you'll walk away with:
โA repeatable method for designing analog slides โ rough first, clean later โ covering visual hierarchy, titles, lists and hand-made animations, without any digital tool
โA simple technical setup to share handmade slides live, using nothing but your phone
โA first-hand experience of what an unplugged production process does to your thinking, and to your audience

โ
โSee you there!
