Trauma-Informed Interview Techniques

​Trauma can significantly influence how individuals recall, communicate, and respond during interviews. This two-hour virtual training equips investigators, coordinators, HR professionals, and other institutional practitioners with practical, trauma-informed interviewing techniques that promote accuracy, fairness, and trust while minimizing the risk of re-traumatization. Participants will learn how trauma affects memory and behavior, prepare for and conduct interviews using evidence-based practices, navigate challenging interview dynamics, and balance a compassionate approach with impartial fact-finding across Title IX, civil rights, employee relations, student conduct, and workplace investigations.
