About Event

Monday, May 11 · 6:30 PM · FABRIK, DUMBO · small group of 8

You've worked hard for the life you have.

The job. The plans on the weekend. The version of yourself that makes sense to other people — that functions well, that checks the boxes you were handed a long time ago. That is, somehow, satisfactory.

And still. Quietly, persistently, there's a feeling that the life you actually want is somewhere just out of reach. Not a dramatic overhaul. Not throwing everything away. Just more true. More yours.

That gap between the life you built and the life you want — that's what we're talking about on May 11.

The Cacao Salon is a monthly gathering for ambitious New Yorkers who are ready to stop performing and start being honest. Each month, we come together over ceremonial cacao for guided conversation, genuine connection, and the kind of evening that stays with you.

This is a live social experience — warm, unexpected, and designed for people who are ready to tell the truth. About what they really want. About what it might take to close the gap.

Each month we explore a different theme but it's always about the same thing: coming home to yourself, and finding real connection with others along the way.

The evening

6:15 PM — Arrive & settle in

6:30 PM — Opening circle + ceremonial cacao Whole-bean cacao sourced directly from a small family farm in Guatemala. Prepared the traditional way. A gentle, grounding way to open.

7:00 PM — Guided connection experiences Paired and small-group conversations with prompts that actually go somewhere. Real questions. Real answers. The kind of exchange you didn't know you were hungry for.

7:45 PM — Embodiment & transformational practices Movement and somatic experiences designed to help you drop out of your head and into something more honest. This is where the evening shifts.

8:00 PM — Sharing circle + integration What came up? What's clearer? What do you want to take with you?

8:30 PM — Open mingling By now the room is warm. The conversations tend to continue on their own.

Come solo. Most people do. You'll leave knowing someone — and probably knowing yourself a little better too.

Your host:

Sasha Sakhar has lived in a lot of worlds — media, tech, corporate New York, and eventually ceremony and intentional living, including several years in the jungle. She founded SUGARHAUS and Soul & Spirit cacao, sourcing her cacao directly from a small family farm in Guatemala, prepared the way it was always meant to be (aka, not hot chocolate that you buy from a coffee shop).

She built Cacao Salon because she kept meeting people who had everything figured out on the outside and were quietly asking bigger questions on the inside. People who wanted a room where both parts of them were welcome.

This is that room.

Expect warmth, honesty, and the kind of conversations you didn't know you needed.
