About Event

You tend to everyone else. This is a space to be tended to.

The Healing Room is a monthly healing circle series held for those of us from marginalized communities who carry the weight of being the "helper": therapists, healers, organizers, teachers, caregivers, and the friends everyone calls first. Whether you hold space formally or informally, this circle is for you.

This month, we're turning toward our inner child. Before the holidays arrive with their gatherings, family dynamics, and familiar roles, we'll pause to listen to the younger parts of ourselves — the ones who learned early how to take care of everyone else. What did they need back then? What are they asking for now? And how can we tend to them as we move into a season that so often stirs them up?

Together, we'll ground into our bodies, connect with others who understand the work, and gently make room for what our inner child has been holding. You'll be invited to share what you're carrying, to be witnessed without being fixed, and to receive — for once — instead of pour out.

The circle is guided by a trauma-informed somatic therapist and certified yoga and meditation instructor, and is rooted in practices that honor the lineages of our historically oppressed communities. Expect somatic grounding, breathwork, heart-sharing, and collective wisdom.

Each month, the circle gathers around a new theme. This month, we go back to the beginning, to the child who's still in there, waiting to be heard.
