Join us for an evening of socialising and engaging discussion with Ireland’s life sciences and biotech community — a chance to connect, share ideas, and explore the innovations shaping the future of biotech in Ireland.
The evening will feature a fireside chat with Mark Barrett, co-founder & CEO of APC and VLE Therapeutics, who will share his entrepreneurial story of starting and scaling APC in Ireland. This will be followed by a panel discussion with leaders from the investment community, including Georgina Murphy (Ireland Strategic Investment Fund) and Caroline Gaynor (Lightstone Ventures, IVCA Chairperson). Together, we’ll discuss the Irish biotech ecosystem — its progress, challenges, opportunities, and how we can continue to grow and strengthen the sector.
The event is sponsored by Aerska, a new Irish biotech company developing RNA-based medicines for neurological diseases which recently launched and announced its $21M seed round. A brief presentation on the night will also provide an overview of the latest breakthroughs in using ‘brain shuttles’ to deliver medicines to the CNS.
