Embedding NCDs in Universal Health Coverage: Financing, Access, and Integrated Care
This forum will bring together stakeholders from industry, government, patient organizations and multilateral bodies to explore how noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) can be more effectively integrated into Universal Health Coverage (UHC) implementation. Through the panel discussion, Q&A, and networking session, attendees will be invited to share practical priorities for closing the NCD gap in UHC and strengthening action ahead of 2027.
The panel discussion will focus on sustainable financing and equitable access for UHC, centered around the question: ‘How do we shift the conversation from the cost of NCD care to the value it creates for people, health systems and economies?’.
Speakers will include:
Katie Dain, CEO, NCD Alliance
James Anderson, Executive Director, R&D Innovation, IFPMA
Eva Kiegele, Technical Officer, WHO Office to the UN in New York
Vani Manja, SVP, Global Head of Obesity & Liver Health, Boehringer Ingelheim
