Horse Flats Bouldering Meetup
We're leaving our quickdraws and harnesses behind for ORCA's inaugural bouldering meetup.
Just ~50 miles outside of LA, Horse Flats features some of the best boulders in SoCal. And if you're tired of slick, flimsy sandstone, you'll appreciate the crag's high-quality granite.
We hope that higher elevation will mean more moderate temps, but you should still bring plenty of water. A high of 80F is likely.
As always, we welcome climbers of all levels. (We're just as likely as you to flail on V0s outside!)
Essentials: sunscreen, water, and lunch
Climbing gear: crash pad*, climbing shoes, approach shoes, and chalk
Carpools: Let's minimize cars and carpool! We'll coordinate driving and gear logistics on the Discord.
*We have two tri-fold crash pads but welcome one or two more. If you're willing to bring a pad, please let us know.
