You want to do good and act on it in 2026? You thrive in a community of driven, enthusiastic people who are determined to change the world for the better? Then join the Effective Altruism Switzerland Impact Cohort 2026 — use your momentum and take action!
Background
With this program, Effective Altruism Switzerland (EACH) aims to invite, encourage, and support our most motivated community members who want to act on EA principles in 2026. This could mean being in a period of change regarding a career decision (e.g., choosing a master’s degree, applying for a job, pursuing a significant impact-oriented internship, or engaging in deep reflection about effective giving). We (Marcel, Marius & Erik), want to support you as best we can. What does this look like?
The Program
We start with an Open Cohort (Phase 1, June 10 - July 7)
A lower-barrier, 4-week kickstart: You’ll pick one concrete impact goal and get light-touch support (kickoff session, weekly nudges, one 1-on-1 call with Marcel, Marius or Erik, and one coworking day in Zurich).
At the end of this phase, participants who’ve demonstrated momentum (showing up consistently, hitting micro-milestones, and making overall progress on their impact journey) will be invited to join the Closed Cohort (Phase 2)
In early July, we invite a smaller, Closed Cohort (Phase 2, extension till early September (Sep 2))
The Closed Cohort offers deeper, more personalized support and tighter accountability to turn early wins into durable progress.
More Support: More 1-on-1 calls with Erik, Marius or Marcel, additional in-person coworking days, and peer based events.
Invitation to join the Impact Community - a group of engaged community members for whom we offer weekly online coworking and monthly community days with workshops and networking. You will meet participants of previous Impact Cohorts and longer-term community members there, and are invited to stay part of the Impact Community after the end of the Impact Cohort.
You don’t need permission to improve the world, but there are many difficult personal questions to answer, and always countless other things demanding your attention. Let’s go! Let’s turn our ambitions into actions.
