About Event

Hosted by UT Austin's Texas Venture Group in partnership with Andreessen Horowitz, join General Partner Erin Price-Wright, Base Power Head of Software Jared Green, and Doug Lambert, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Saronic, for a panel discussion on October 29 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Students will also have the chance to interact live with company representatives, learn about new product launches, and explore future career opportunities. Catering will be provided by Terry Black’s Barbecue.

Erin Price-Wright helps lead our American Dynamism practice, investing in AI for the physical world across robotics, energy, manufacturing, and defense. She previously led AI and infra investments at Index Ventures and worked in product and engineering at Palantir.

Jared Green serves as the Head of Software at Base Power Company since August 2023, focusing on developing an energy network to address power grid issues. Previously, Jared worked at SpaceX from August 2019 to August 2023, where contributions as Lead Software Engineer included significant advancements in the Starlink project, expanding from 60 to 5,000 satellites and working on various system components.

Doug Lambert is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Saronic Technologies, where he leads research & development, hardware engineering, and production.  Doug has been at the forefront of maritime engineering since 2012 and is a dynamic and innovative engineering leader with a proven track record of bringing concepts to life.

In partnership with the a16z College Talent Network that partners with current undergraduate and graduate software engineering students to help them reach their professional goals.
