The D2C gold rush (2016–19): cheap money, cheap Instagram ads and a wave of challenger brands. Brexit came in our founding year, and the big corporates started buying the disruptors.
The shock years (2020–23): a pandemic that rewrote how we shop overnight, the post-Covid boom and the hangover, quick commerce's rise and fall, a cost-of-living crisis, and a mini-budget that shook the markets.
The reset (2024–26): profitability over growth at all costs, tariffs and trade deals, the rise of TikTok Shop, Shein and Temu, GLP-1s changing how we eat, and AI starting to change how we shop.
What's next? We're entering a new era of Consumer. Our panel will make their calls on the brands, channels, capital and talent that will define the next ten years.
